Ken Paul Rosenthal, Director, Producer, Cinematographer

Ken Paul Rosenthal makes lyrical, character-driven documentary films that explore the spectrum of difference and enrich the world with kindness and compassion. His work has screened widely at national and international film festivals and venues. Ken is the recipient of numerous festival awards, a Kodak Cinematography Award, the Berkeley Film Foundation’s Al Bendich Award, a University Film & Video Association Award, and a California Humanities Documentary Grant. His Mad Dance Mental Health Film Trilogy circulates in over 375 academic and public libraries, screened at 74 film festivals, and has been presented in person at hundreds of universities, mental health symposia, peer support networks, and community events worldwide. In his spare time, Ken stages an emotional wellness pop-up, Your Empathy Stand (Y.E.S.) in public parks, freely offering active listening to one and all.

 

Kesten Migdal, Interview Cinematography and Sound

Kesten Migdal is a cinematographer with two decades of experience working on industry, corporate, and independent productions. Kesten is an alumnus of the Pixar story department and has worked on productions such as Ratatouille and Finding Nemo. He has crafted narratives for dozens of clients, including; Salesforce, the Culinary Institute of America, General Mills, Sutter Home, and HP. Kesten has filmed in numerous international locations from Taipei to Oaxaca.


 

Catherine Hollander, Editing and Story Consultant

Catherine Hollander is an editor with over twenty years of experience working on documentary films. She has a special interest in editing contemplative and spiritually themed projects such as the feature doc, When The Iron Bird Flies: Tibetan Buddhism Comes to the West. Catherine has edited a number of award-winning and POV featured documentaries, including: Julia Meltzer’s Dalya’s Other Country; Adele Horne's The Tailenders (Independent Spirit Award); Rea Tajiri’s Wisdom Gone Wild; and finish editing for Grace Lee’s Off The Menu: Asian America (CAAM/PBS). She co-edited Ellie Parker, an Official Sundance selection directed by Scott Coffey.

 

Harley Scroggins, Motion Graphics

Harley Scroggins is an independent filmmaker and freelance animator/illustrator. She's a graduate of the Experimental Animation program at California Institute of the Arts. Her films have screened in the US and Europe, including MONSTRA Animated Film Festival in Lisbon where her stop motion short film Matka was invited to compete in the International Super Shorts category. The first installment of her animated series Spirited Spectres was awarded Official Finalist in the GIPHY Film Fest, NYC. Harley creates monthly animated vocabulary lessons for The Swanburne Academy, and writes and illustrates her own children's books.

 

Steve Ladd, Impact Producer

Steve Ladd has over thirty years of experience helping to fund, produce and market documentary films. He served for seven years as Executive Director of an Oscar-winning production and distribution company, responsible for acquiring and promoting several hundred films. As an independent media consultant, he has supported and helped launch dozens of award-winning films, including Oscar nominees and Emmy winners. He co-produced, The Movement and the Madman which aired on the PBS American Experience series and was a distribution consultant on Oscar-nominated documentary, The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers.
